A bit more of Singapore

Today was our only full day in Singapore so we had to make the most of it, we ticked off a lot of landmarks and saw the different styles of architecture on show. The theatre and Raffles hotel date back to the days of British rule while the stunning Marina Bay could hardly be more modern. Singapore’s unique selling point is its diversity in buildings and cultures for me, I ate my lunch in Chinatown today and tomorrow’s shall be in Little India. It compares to London and New York with its huge mix of people. I’m also a big fan of the city’s mascot – Merlion (pictured) the lion/mermaid hybrid!

  1. Even though people often say Singapore is “fake”, I still love it. I’ve been to the Raffles in the late 80’s when it was very different (original) and just loved the story about the tiger who came for tea 🙂
